How to Make Thanksgiving Foods Sequencing Practice

Do your students need practice with oral langue, reading and writing skills? Use these materials to help students read or listen, speak and write about Thanksgiving themed foods. The pictures are helpful for ELLs and emergent writers.

Picture Cards

Students sequence the cards and then tell how to make the recipe. Foods included are: pumpkin pie, cornbread, roast turkey, mashed potatoes. The picture cards come in color and black and white.

Reading Sheets

Each food comes with two direction sheets in color and black and white. Please note that these are not complete recipes (quantities are not included). You can also use these sheets for listing practice if the text is too challenging for students.

Graphic Organizers

Each food comes with two differentiated graphic organizers. They come with or without the ingredients labeled.

Writing Pages

Each set of food has a writing page for students to produce a longer writing piece.
