Spring Writing and Grammar

Help students write about spring with this writing center. There are picture word cards, tracing cards, picture vocabulary sheets, grammar sorts, writing pages, and writing prompts. These materials are designed for ELLs and beginning writers. For emergent writers, there are tracing cards to help with handwriting and letter formation.

Differentiated Print and Go Writing Pages

There are two levels of print and go writing pages. One set comes with a question and space for students to draw a picture and write. The other set also comes with picture vocabulary. There are also templates for students to make a shopping list and draw a picture and write the word.

Create a Word Wall

The picture word cards would make a great seasonal word wall. You can organize the word cards by parts of speech or in alphabetical order.

Grammar Practice

Have students sort the word cards into parts of speech. The writing prompts guide students towards using the correct part of speech with the pictures that are included. There is also a verb ending chart included showing students how to add ing to verbs. There is also a poster for animal names as a baby and adult.
