Harvest Celebration Reading Passages and Picture Vocabulary

Help students learn about the holidays of Thanksgiving in the USA, Jewish holiday of Sukkot, Zhong Qiu Jie (Moon Festival) in China, Chuseok in Korea, and Pongal in India. Through reading passages and activities, students will practice their reading comprehension skills as they learn about fall harvest festivals from around the world.

Each reading passage comes in two reading levels. There are pictures included to support ELLs.

Each holiday has a poster with simple facts and pictures in color and black and white.

Vocabulary Picture Cards & Sentence Frames

There are picture cards in color and black and white for each holiday. There are also sentence frames to help students talk and write about each holiday or compare and contrast different holidays.

Graphic Organizer & Writing Reflection

There are graphic organizers and a writing reflection question included. Both have two levels, one with a word bank and sentence frames.
